About Us
Susan Shampo
A web designer for a high tech company since 1996, Susan pours her heart, soul and expertise into projects for others. This eventually led her to wonder why all her efforts were supporting someone else's dreams. Ready for another challenge, she founded Boldly Go, LLC with the goal of using her experience to create and fulfil some dreams of her own. Although she's still up to her ears in "the day job," her first independent project Feathered Friends Boutique, an e-store featuring birdhouses, feeders and other backyard birding products has hit cyberspace and is making quite a splash.
Al Stroh
Al has been involved with computers and programming for over 30 years. He, too wondered why all his efforts were paying off for someone else and encouraged Susan to form Boldly Go. He's currently working on sites to promote his first business venture, the San Diego PC Repairman*, his own special pet project, Dumber Than a Box of Rocks (gag gifts), and Blades 'n' Wheels, a service-oriented skate pro shop.
*Not in Kansas anymore
After many years in America's self-proclaimed "Finest City," the crowds, traffic, smog and proximity of neighbors (not to mention the unfriendly $mall bu$ine$$ climate) got to our pair. In true entepreneurial fashion, they packed up the cats and left the big city rat race to relocate in a place they left their hearts nine years ago when they first visited the town of Brookings in southern-most coastal (sales-tax-free) Oregon. The San Diego PC Repairman has morphed into Brookings PC Repair and is making headway into the local restaurant scene with a custom-designed POS system.
Susan and the cats are delighted to enjoy their feathered friends up-close-and-personal, right in their own backyard, which is conspicuously bird-friendly, replete with bird baths, houses, feeders and many birds (not to mention deer). If any of the neighbors have a hottub, we don't know it and certainly will not hear them in it at 3 a.m. anytime soon!
